The Site Council's primary purpose is to brainstorm and coordinate
improvements for the students at Edna Maguire, and to work with the
principal to implement the school site plan. The council consists of
Principal Lisa Zimmer, five parents, and typically consists of five staff members. The parent
members commit to serve a three-year term.
In 2006-07, the Site Council worked to achieve the following: The Edna
School Site Plan, innovative teaching grants to Edna teachers, Family Math
Night, traffic safety, and more. In 2007-08, the Site Council will focus on
Nutrition and Wellness, especially healthy eating habits. The group will
address the growing concern about nut allergies within our school, class
party protocol, and birthday snacks.

Site Council is the place for you.
Site Council Meetings for 2007-08 take place on Mondays at 3pm in the
Teachers' Lounge. The dates are as follows: September 17, October 22,
November 19, December 17, January 14, February 25, March 17, April 21, May
19.
