Mill Valley is updating its Pedestrian/Bicycle Plan and would like to know the local issues that affect your route to school. While Mill Valley cannot fix every issue at once, we want to ensure that all problem areas are identified in order to plan for the future.
Please take a minute to report any safety hazards or other impediments that you notice on your way to school when you bike, walk, scooter, carpool, etc, or safety issues that may prevent your family from trying to bike and walk by replying to the Safe Routes to Schools Edna Team at
dcole3@sbcglobal.net, or Deborah at 381-4177.
Safety issues may include:
• cars don't stop at your crosswalk/intersection or there is no crosswalk
• vegetation makes a curve unsafe or other visibility issues
• there is no path or it is too overgrown for you to use
• drivers speed in your neighborhood
• there's not enough room to bike or walk along part of your route
Send as many specifics as you can like:
• The safety issue
• Location of the problem: street names and addresses
• Your address or cross-streets and commonly used name for your neighborhood
• Ages of children and how you are traveling: walk or bike? How often and when?
Thank you for Walking and Rolling to School.
