No More Wednesday Paper Waste!
Last week Edna rolled out a new Wednesday Folder system. Now, only the youngest child in each family will bring home school, district, and community news. Class-specific information and anything needing separate signatures, forms, etc. will continue to be in each folder. Older children in each family now have a gold "DND" sticker on their folders, indicating Do Not Duplicate. The PTA is currently working with various organizations to cut back on the paper they send to us. Any questions or confusion, please ask Lisa Zimmer or Leslie Lewczyk (lesliepta@gmail.com). Thank you for your support and understanding as this system gets underway!

Election Day Nears:
Get Informed, Get Registered, Get Voting
Election Day is fast approaching, when Mill Valley voters will be asked to decide on Measure A. Measure A seeks to amend the Mill Valley School District's existing parcel tax, increasing it by $193 a year and extending it for four years. The district's Board of Trustees placed Measure A on the ballot to provide additional funding to help avoid budget cuts that district officials have said could result in laying off teachers, increasing class sizes, and reducing educational programs. Keep in mind that fewer than 20 percent of Mill Valley registered voters have children in the Mill Valley School District.
The deadline to register to vote is October 20. If you have not already done so, please register, and remember to vote on November 4th. If you've moved recently or changed your name, you may need to re-register.
