Frequent Rider Program Starts Today!
Choose freedom from your car and win prizes for walking, biking and carpooling to school in the Frequent Rider Miles Contest. For the next four weeks, students will be rewarded for getting to school in these healthy ways. Make sure your child fills out the Frequent Rider Mile Cards that came home in last week's Wednesday Folders. They'll become eligible to win prizes, including a gift certificate for a new bike! Children who are unable to participate can volunteer to make posters or hand out prizes.
Remember, carpooling is when two or more families travel to school together. Please see the MVSD Directory on page 13 to find other Edna families with whom to carpool.
Questions, contact Lisa Gilmore (lisa.gilmore88@gmail.com) or Rhonda Campbell (rhonda@kcfilm.net).
Fifth Grade Mural
The Edna Maguire fifth grade class of 2009 is proud to present the "Blue Skies Ahead" mural, freshly painted on the back wall of our office building. The fifth graders had a wonderful time creating together, and hope the entire Edna community enjoys its beauty. Thanks to parent Eric Zener for his artistic talent and help creating this mural.

Kiddo! Arts Committee Needs You
The Kiddo! Arts Committee is looking for representatives from Edna Maguire to join members from the other elementary schools and MVMS to join our committee for the 2009-10 school year. The group meets monthly to discuss publicizing upcoming art/music events at our schools.
