Hot Lunch Orders Due Thursday
PTA Hot Lunch orders are due in the office this Thursday, March 6th. Please make front and back copies of your child's order for your records. Kindergarten hot lunch orders are due Friday, March 7th.
Tremendous Thanks to the PTA Lunch Committee
The PTA Lunch Committee members have worked so hard to run the lunch program this year, and now they have found a very healthy single vendor to provide PTA lunch. The committee has searched for years for a lunch vendor with the right mix of healthy food and affordable prices, and we're very excited to start the new program with Revolution Foods. While the order form may appear a bit complicated, the kids will get a much wider selection and healthier choices.
By using only one vendor, the new program will be easier to manage, but it will be MUCH harder up front for them to administer. Let's all support them by getting our orders in on time (that's this Thursday, March 6th) and tallied correctly and by encouraging our kids to try new things.
We're looking for volunteers to help tally the paperwork this Friday. If you can help, please email Katrina Kehl at kkehl@pacbell.net for details. Thanks everyone for your support of the new program!
Dr. Seuss Reading Café This Week
The Dr. Seuss Reading Café will be open during the school day on March 4th, 5th, and 6th. Each class will have a reserved 30-minute period to read Dr. Seuss books and enjoy some snacks at the Café. Fifth grade waiters will serve the students from a menu of Dr. Seuss books. All of the students will then participate in a Dr. Seuss trivia competition on Friday, March 7.
If you would like to read with your child, please check with your child's teacher for their reserved Café time.
If you have any questions, please contact Janie Karp at 383-6730 or jkarpj@comcast.net.
